Confirmation

UPDATE: 1/22/21

At the Bishop’s request, on January 6th we submitted our “conflict dates” for the months of March through June in order for the Bishop’s Office to schedule our 2021 Confirmation. We anticipate receiving a date in the very near future.

The Bishop’s Office is also aware that we are one of 13 parishes in the Diocese who have not yet celebrated our 2020 Confirmation.

The Diocese is working on scheduling both of our Confirmations, taking into account COVID-19 protocols, our church’s capacity at 30%, and our large class sizes (80 candidates last year and 84 students this year).

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding, and will advise once we receive any information.

In the meantime, Candidates can continue to prepare themselves to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation through daily prayer, weekly Mass attendance (either in-person or via livestream), and celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the upcoming Lenten Season.  Candidates and their families are invited to come to St. Joseph Church and other local parishes and experience Christ’s healing love on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. during Lent.

Celebrating our "Domestic Church" with At-Home Family Events

In January, the Balsley, Kerns, and Maddens rang in the New Year with their families on January 1st; the Baxter, Davis and Passio families made beautiful decorative signs to honor the Most Holy Name of Jesus on January 3rd; the Elco family made a beautiful King Cake and the Endicott’s all celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th; and the Ianni children tried to learn to juggle like St. John Bosco to honor his Feast Day on January 31st.  May God bless all of you!
