Looking for something to do for Lent? Check out Alpha, a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
Alpha always begins with food – something different every week. On the menu this year are spaghetti and meatballs, pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, shepherds pie, sloppy joe, and more.
Next, a 30 minute video. Each video explores one of the questions listed in the following schedule. Videos are filmed in an engaging style and designed to open a conversation.
Finally, the most important part of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
